Episode 48 of SSAATY features our interview with Barracuda Networks CEO, Dean Drako. The interview does not start until about 16 minutes into the show. So if you would like to just listen to that, jump ahead to 16 minutes in. Dean gives us the inside scoop on what the Barracuda formula for success is. We also talk about open source, the SMB versus enterprise security market among other things. Great interview with a great guy and don't miss it!

In the return of the converging minute, Mitchell talks a bit about virtualization. In this week in security we talk about Microsoft sneaking an update in, 3Com getting bought and a recent white paper on NAC by Joel Snyder.

If you like the content of these shows or have any other comments or questions, please drop us a line at podcast@stillsecure.com

Thanks to ClickCaster for hosting our podcast. We are all joined by our special guest star, the mouth of the south, Mike Rothman. For those who read my blog, you know that Dominic and I recently had a "debate on the merits" of various NAC technologies. I have also had my fair share of discussions with Michelle. Well the plan for today was to accentuate the positive and not get into a NAC brawl. But Rothman would have none of the cumbaya stuff and managed to stir up the conversation to bring out the passion from all of our panelists.

At the end of the day it is a good discussion on what does NAC mean today and where the market is. If you are interested in NAC, there is some good information here.

The panel ran too long for Mitchell and I to do much of anything else, so we will resume our regularly scheduled programming next week. Enjoy!

In case you want to see, here are pictures of our panelists. I have taken the liberty of putting their names under their pictures, in case you didn't know who was who.

If you like the content of these shows or have any other comments or questions, please drop us a line at podcast@stillsecure.com

Thanks to ClickCaster for hosting our podcast.
StillSecure, After all these years, podcast #43

Podcast #43 is another NAC-tacular one with two special guests. One is Andrew Braunberg, director of enterprise security research at Current Analysis. Our second guest is Andy Dornan, renowned author, journalist and analyst from Network Computing. Current Analysis and Network Computing recently published the results of their second annual NAC survey. The survey shows some real trends in NAC adoption, as well as some very interesting views on NAC from real world users.
StillSecure, After all these years, podcast #42 - NAP, NAC, TCG - Whats the difference?

Our special guests are Steve Hanna, co-chair of the TNC/TCG and Amith Krishnan, senior product manager of Microsoft's security technologies including NAP. Steve, Amith, Mitchell and I discuss the finer points of the recent demonstration of the interoperability between NAP and the TCG standards and what this means for you.

We dive pretty deep in just how this interoperability works and what Windows Server 2008 will mean to those interested in NAC. We also talk a bit about what this means for Cisco and other NAC vendors. Does this represent the future of NAC? What other functionality is envisioned? Will it cover non-Windows operating systems? These and other questions are all answered in the show. Enjoy!

Our friends from South Africa, Sensepost have a special offer for those who would like to attend their hacking classes at Black Hat this year. What Matasano does, how they do it and who uses it, as well as who doesn't

3. ITSecurity.com's list of influential IT Security people and how you can't believe everything you read, even if it is on the Internet.

4.
